OCTOBER

A second computer room has been opened in the Pres to cater for the expanding needs of the computer generation. The school already has a fully equipped computer room but, due to the increase in computer based learning, further expansion was / is necessary.
Thanks to the generosity of the Hewlett Packard Company (whose Galway operation is based in Ballybrit) we now have a new fully equipped computer centre.
Because of this addition, teachers of all subjects will be able to use this powerful tool as an aid to learning........ English, Maths, History, Geography, Business, Science, Languages, etc.....what an exciting prospect for both teacher and student !
So it was with pride and sense of achievement that the official opening of the computer room took place early this month. We recorded the event pictorially. See a selection of these photographs below.
