Architect in Residence at the Pres
The Pres was one of the schools selected to take part in the Architect in Residence scheme sponsored by Galway City & County Councils and the Arts Council.
The Architect, Hugh Kelly, from Murray O'Laoire & Associates of Limerick worked with the 5th Year Art Class.
The purpose of the residency is to explore the artform of Architecture with an emphasis on awareness and perception of the built environment. The project aims to develop knowledge, appreciation and awareness of architecture as an artform among Galway's secondary schoolchildren while engaging creatively in the process and drawing on the architectural heritage of Galway City & County.
